Domestic Cancellation Insurance If you are intending to travel around New Zealand a Domestic Cancellation Insurance Policy can cover you right up to the date you return home If you have to cancel or curtail your travel arrangements because of any unforeseen cause beyond your control you may claim for: Loss of deposits already paid or charges contracted to be paid and/or Reasonable additional travel costs if your journey has already commenced. Excess $20 each loss. The minimum premium is $20, per person. This covers the policyholder for up to $600.
