NZ Ski New Zealand skiing and snowboarding holidays - Coronet Peak

Coronet Peak's open slopes and wide rolling terrain is only a short drive from Queenstown.
It's the original - and still leads the way in innovation and quality. Coronet Peak has everything - from easy beginner slopes to rolling off-piste runs to long groomed trails. Whatever your style or speed, there's always something to suit plus amazing views that will stop you in your tracks.
When your legs are ready to give out, kick back in the West End or Rocky Gully Cafes, or relax over a meal at The Coronet Brasserie - one of Queenstown's best restaurants. The day is not over even when the evening falls - night skiing is a totally surreal experience not to be missed, with the main trails lit for action.
There's everything you'll ever need available on site, including an award winning Ski and Snowboard School. It really will be the peak of your winter skiing vacation.

New for 2009
On the back of investment in excess of $30m during the summer of 07/08, there isn't quite as much happening at Coronet Peak over the coming months. The new Base Lodge has greatly enhanced every aspect of the mountain chain form ticketing and rental to food and beverage. The extensive automated snowmaking system helps to keep the snow in the best condition for as long as possible. For 2009 snowmaking will be further enhanced with the completion of the Sarah Sue Reservoir, securing another 90 million litres of water.
New Groomers
7 new groomers are being purchased across all three mountains replacing existing machines; these will be
‘greener’, more efficient and will result in better surface conditions and more corduroy to carve up.
Trail Signage
The installation of new and upgraded trail signage across the mountain will take place at all three ski areas.
This is to enhance the on-snow experience and safety of our guests.
Family Focus
New this year also is the introduction of a children-specific programme, what was the Youth
Combo Pack has now been replaced by the Kea Club (6 - 12 yrs)/Shredders (13 - 17 yrs), and now includes full day supervision with lunch as well as lift, lessons and rental. Crèche facilities are also enhanced with the ability to cater for children from 3 months at both Coronet Peak/The Remarkables and from 2 years at Mt Hutt. Crèche products remain a direct book option only due to limited capacity.
