Inclusions and Exclusions
Accommodation, transportation, guiding, activities, meals, drinks and domestic flights where specifically indicated in the itineraries, and NZ Goods & Services Tax are included. International or Domestic air travel to connect with the tour, items of a personal nature, airport taxes are not included in the tour costs and are your own responsibility. It is your responsibility to comply with all passport, visa and vaccination requirements. Get Down Under Tours reserves the right to alter tour prices without notice because of exchange rate fluctuations, new or increased government charges, taxes or other increased costs. If we are forced to increase the tour price after your booking is confirmed, and you find the increased cost to be unacceptable you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all moneys paid. All prices are guaranteed upon receipt of full payment by Get Down Under Tours.
Reservations and Payments
A non-refundable deposit of UK£200 or US$300 per person is required to confirm your booking. Failure to pay the deposit within 14 days of booking may result in cancellation. Full and final payment for the tour and any extra services must be received by Get Down Under Tours Ltd no later than 60 days prior to the departure date. We will send a reminder well in advance. We reserve the right to cancel bookings if full payment is not received by this date. Bookings made within 60 days of the tour start date must be paid in full before your booking is confirmed.
Cancellations and Refunds
Should you find it necessary to cancel your booking the following charges shall apply:
- More than 60 days prior to the tour start date your deposit shall be forfeited.
- Between 60-30 days prior to the tour start date 75% of the total tour price shall be forfeited. Any extra services shall be cancelled and refunded if possible.
- Less than 30 days prior to the tour start date no refund is due.
We will endeavour to resell your tour places and, if possible, a greater refund will gladly be provided. Once the tour has commenced no refund will be paid for any part of the tour including any accommodation or other inclusions not utilised.
Responsibility and Liability
Get Down Under Tours Ltd, its management and guides accept no responsibility or liability for loss, damage to, or theft of personal belongings (owner's risk), or for any expenses, including medical and transport expenses arising from personal accident, injury, illness, or hospitalisation. We recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers flights, tour cancellation charges, loss or damage of personal belongings, ill health and medical expenses and any other unforeseen insurable events.
Amendments and Cancellations Made By Get Down Under Tours Ltd
Arrangements for each tour are made well in advance, however on occasion we may need to make minor alterations to the schedule, accommodation and other services. In all cases we endeavour to maintain the same high standards. You will be notified at the time of booking of any known changes. Should we consider these changes to be major you are entitled to cancel your booking within 1 week with full refund less the deposit paid. We reserve the right to change the schedule and services once a reservation has been confirmed due to safety, weather or any operational reason whatsoever and will notify you or your travel agent as soon as it is reasonably possible to do so. Please note that no compensation will be payable if we are forced to cancel or change your tour as a result of war, or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical problems affecting transport or any similar events beyond our control nor will we be liable for flight delays or changes to your holiday for health or safety reasons. A minimum number of guests are required for a tour to be financially viable. In the event that minimum numbers are not achieved we reserve the right to cancel a scheduled tour in which case we will offer places on an alternative tour date or give a full refund. This decision is made 60 days before the scheduled tour start date. We cannot be responsible for any costs you may have as a result of cancellation and no compensation for these will be paid.
Health and Fitness
All passengers must read the itinerary descriptions and other information available and warrant that they are reasonably fit and healthy to participate in the activities as described without personal assistance. Get Down Under Tours will provide your personal health, diet and medical information as necessary only to the NZ companies whose services are included in the tour to ensure that risks to your health and safety are minimised. Other than this, Get Down Under Tours will not share or sell your personal information to any outside organisations or companies unless required to do so by New Zealand law. Any arrangements which do not form part of the tour are entirely done so at your own risk.
Contract and Jurisdiction
This contract shall come into existence 3 days after your booking confirmation has been despatched from our office. The contract and tour and all matters arising in connection with them are governed by New Zealand law and New Zealand courts shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to determine any disputes. |
