Brief summary
Overnight in Auckland, New Zealand's city of sails, before heading to the thermal
wonderland of Rotorua for two nights and an included visit to Hells Gate for geysers and mud pools. Then it's on to Taupo where we take a cruise on the lake before travelling further south to the nation's capital, Wellington. On our way back up the other side of the island we have included a paddle boat river cruise at Wanganui and a spectacular guided tour through the Waitomo Caves.
Highlights of the Tour

Auckland - City of Sails
You will see why Auckland, New Zealand's largest and most cosmopolitan city, is known as the City of Sails. Visit Kelly Tarlton's Under Water World and Antarctic Centre, and other options include Sky Tower and Casino, Maritime Museum, Howick Historic Village and a harbour cruise to Devonport on the ferry.
Rotorua Thermal Wonders
The highlight here will be the included Maori dinner and cultural entertainment. Ample time is allowed to visit the many thermal geysers and mud pools that make Rotorua famous and entry to Hell's Gate is included in your tour fee.
Lake Taupo
A cruise on Lake Taupo which is about the size of Singapore and is a water filled caldera of a huge volcano and a visit to the spectacular Huka Falls.
Wellington Harbour & Te Papa
New Zealand's capital city and home to Te Papa, the National Museum situated on the waterfront. Entry is free. Also on the waterfront are numerous cafes and taverns providing fine dinning and entertainment all within a short walking distance. In Wellington we recommend you use the public transport system and enjoy a stress free view of the beautiful harbour and local scenery.
Whanganui River
You get a three-hour paddle boat cruise on the Whanganui river (summer only - in winter an alternative experience will be included.)
Waitomo Caves
A guided tour through the Waitomo caves and chambers, including a boat ride through the glow worm grotto.
