Day 1: Wellington - Picton - Kaikoura

- 9.30am depart on InterIslander - Wellington Harbour, cross Cook Strait
- idyllic, bush clad beauty of the Marlborough Sounds
- 12.30pm arrive Picton

- wine-growing district of Blenheim
- rolling hills, snow capped alps to the rugged coastline
